Placed at the northwest of Spain, at the border with Portugal, on the right bank of the River Miño, at Arbo (Pontevedra), placed at "La Moreira", in a land of rare beauty.
The concept of Château could not find a more tipical Galician image. With 380.000 square meters. The wineyards of Marqués de Vizhoja are at this familiar land. It could not be any other way, as this part of the river is considered excellent for the production of the Albariño grape, due to its special microclimate, which protects it from frosts, wind and extreme temperatures.
The Château is at the area of Condado of Tea, one of the four subareas of denomination Rias Baixas, together with Salnés, Rosal and the newest one, Soutomaior. The vineyard of the condado are placed at the interior, back to the sea. At this part of mountains, with long necks along Miño river, they lay out in rows among ancient hardwood trees, creating a diverse landscape of a rare beauty, making La Moreira an ideal and wild place, blessed with many hours of sun.

In this privileged environment, the not-too-damp sandy loam soil and the mild climate, allow the grape to easily reach the perfect degree of ripeness, which together with the extreme care taken at each stage of the production process, results in wines of an excellent quality.
